Miscellaneous Events
DCAC offers 3 different Kids Care Programs year-round. Our Kids Care Programs assist DCAC families in providing essential items for the children receiving services at our center. These programs are an important service offered by DCAC because many of the caregivers utilizing DCAC services have taken in a relative or family member unexpectedly to help avoid a child(ren) from entering the foster care system. Often times caregivers do not receive any financial or additional support for taking loved ones into their home. DCAC counts on donations from local churches, individuals, businesses, schools, and organizations to run each of these programs. In addition to items, we also accept gift cards and monetary donations which are used to purchase items for our families in need.
Kid’s Closet
As a way to further help our families, we collect hygiene products all year round to distribute to clients who may have difficulty getting them otherwise.
Needs include but are not limited to shampoo and conditioner (for all types), brushes, deodorant, soap, body wash, lotion, wash clothes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, feminine products, and floss.
