Our Non-offending Caregivers Support Group is a support group designed to help caregivers develop new coping skills after a child discloses sexual abuse. NOC provides a mixture of education and support. It helps caregivers cope with the complex issues that accompany a child’s disclosure, from the initial shock, to the legal proceedings. The group provides a safe environment where caregivers can feel validated, supported, and openly express their emotions. There is no typical reaction to a trauma and all feelings experienced are normal. The group also helps the caregiver understand the victim/offender dynamic and how to respond to the needs of the child. For more information about the NOC group or to schedule an appointment, please call Candra James.
